- Next add in the freshly grated coconut and fish and sauté for a few mins..
- Add the remaining turmeric powder, red chilli powder and sugar. Add salt as per taste- remember we have added some salt to the marinade as well. Add kokam pieces, some water and give it a good mix. As you mix, some flesh from the fish will separate from the bone and that's fine..
- Cover with a plate and add some water on top of this plate- this will prevent the mixture inside from drying out. Let it cook for about 3-5 mins. Switch off the flame and serve!.
